Your Questions, Answered

  • Your initial consultation is all about understanding your story. We will start with a thorough assessment of your injury and medical history, followed by physical testing to find the root cause of your pain. Most importantly, you’ll walk away with a clear diagnosis, a personalized treatment plan, and often your first round of hands-on treatment or exercises to get you started immediately.

  • No, you do not. Physiotherapists are primary practitioners, meaning you can book an appointment directly with me. However, if you are claiming through WorkCover, TAC, or a Medicare Chronic Disease Management (CDM) plan, you will need to see your GP first to have the necessary paperwork organized.

  • While traditional physiotherapy focuses on movement, exercise, and joint mobilization, dry needling and cupping are specialized techniques I use to target "tough spots" or myofascial trigger points.

    • Dry Needling uses fine needles to release deep muscle tension.

    • Cupping uses suction to increase blood flow and promote tissue healing. I often combine these to get the best results for stubborn muscle tightness.

  • Comfort is key! It is best to wear loose-fitting clothing or athletic gear (like a t-shirt and shorts) that allows me to easily assess the area of concern (e.g., your knee, shoulder, or back). If you're coming straight from work, don't worry—we can always work around it.

  • Every injury is unique, but my goal is always to get you back to 100% as efficiently as possible. Many patients feel a significant difference within 2 to 3 weeks. During your first visit, we will discuss a timeline so you know exactly what to expect regarding your recovery.

  • Collaborative, honest, and straightforward. We're here to guide the process, bring ideas to the table, and keep things moving.
